Two New Members Co-Opted to the BACN Management Committee
On behalf of the BACN board I would like to say a huge thank you to Corrine Hussain who has been a board member for the past two years. Corrine is leaving to focus on her practice and her family. It is always difficult to say goodbye to a board member and we have seen Corrine grow and develop in her role. We wish her all the very best for the future.
It is with great pleasure I now introduce two new co-opted members on to the BACN committee. Both may be known to you and I know you will join me in welcoming Rachel Goddard and Adrian Baker.
Rachel Goddard RGN, NIP
Rachel is a highly respected and experienced aesthetic nurse who is a familiar face within our aesthetics specialty. A Nurse Independent Prescriber who has specialised in medical aesthetics since 2004 and clinical education since 2006.
She is clinical director of Totally Aesthetics training academy, a Country Expert for the Teoxane Medical Faculty and has previously been a member of the Allergan Medical Faculty.
Rachel has post graduate qualifications (PgCert and PgDip) in aesthetics practice and clinical education, and mentors students undertaking the Masters’ degree in aesthetics practice at Northumbria University.
With a passion for education, Rachel is heavily involved in teaching and speaking at various conferences. She has also trained for Merz Aesthetics and Sinclair in the past.
She brings a host of skillsets to the board and we value her drive, her knowledge, her professionalism and her dedication in driving standards within aesthetic nursing.
Adrian Baker RGN, NIP
Adrian has been practicing medical aesthetics since 2010 and worked alongside one of the leading medical aesthetic nurses in the UK.
He is a previous BACN board member but left to concentrate on setting up his own clinic which is now flourishing. He is a co - author and was editing lead on the last BACN/RCN "BACN Aesthetic Nursing Competency Framework" , created to assist nurses in the UK to develop their skills and careers in the aesthetic medical profession.
He is a Nurse Independent Prescriber and a highly respected, ethical and talented practitioner, with a particular passion for dermal fillers and soft tissue augmentation, focussing on patient centred care and evidence based practice. He has clear insight into the key issues and professional development in medical aesthetic nursing.
Having worked with Adrian in the past we are delighted to welcome him back and drawing from the host of skills he brings to the BACN.
