The ACE Group is delighted to announce the date of the inaugural national conference to take place at Birmingham Repertory theatre with a capacity to hold over 500 delegates. Situated in the heart of Birmingham's busy theatre and nightlife district and famous Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham Rep is easily accessible via road and from New Street Station and Birmingham International Airport.

Complications are daunting no matter how experienced the practitioner and the 2020 conference will focus on how to avoid complications, their recognition and management. Conference programme is available to view below.

Coffee and Cases

This is the perfect opportunity for you to present a case or query to a board member to discuss and for some expert advice. Delegates can submit cases prior to the conference and speak to a board member in person. Members of the ACE Group Board will be available in The Mezz before the main conference commences. Doors to the House Theatre will be closed at 9.55, please ensure that you are seated. Late arrivals may have to wait until the interval.

Delayed Onset Nodules or DONs was the term first coined by the ACE Group several years ago and since this time, there have been many instances of them appearing in the literature. Dr Convery presents the latest evidence in identifying and managing these.

Good Call, Bad Call & Decorum on the Forum

The ACE Group Emergency Helpline is available to all subscribers of the ACE Group and calls are diverted to several experienced practitioners, often working in their own busy clinics. It is important that if you do need to call the Emergency Helpline, you present your case in a professional manner and have all the information that you need at hand. Linda Mather who is responsible for the most calls taken gives advice on how to use the helpline and forum most effectively.

Vascular occlusion is one of the most feared complications from our members and it seems to be on the rise! The ACE Group helpline is involved with a vascular occlusion on almost a daily basis from its members and so this is obviously a large focus of the conference. Gillian Murray: Early, intermittent and late presentations. Cormac Convery: Treatment strategy depending on time of presentation. Lee Walker: Reconstitution of Hyalase® for different indications. Martyn King: Top tips when dealing with a vascular occlusion.
