Emma is a qualified Nurse, Midwife, Health Visitor, Independent Nurse Prescriber, Columnist Clinical Trainer, Aesthetic Practitioner, the Co-owner and Medical Director of the multi award-winning save face accredited Elite Aesthetic Clinic. Emma qualified as a nurse in 1995 she’s over 10 years experience in Aesthetic Medicine, she has worked alongside an array of prestigious Doctors & Nurses in the industry. She had key roles in establishing the first NHS linked Private menopause clinic and parenting behavioural management support groups in the city, raising awareness & bridging gaps in women health services available. Emma’s passionate about supporting and building women’s confidence and has followed her into aesthetic medicine, she is now Ireland’s Lead Nurse & Clinical trainer for BTL vaginal rejuvenation, continence, intimate health & wellbeing.
Emma’s initial aesthetic plans stem from working with scars, mindful of the emotional and psychosocial impact a scar can have on a person. Emma’s mum is a survivor of Breast cancer and was left with significant physical scars. Emma began to research various treatments to address these scars, from that she was introduced into the wonderful exciting field of aesthetic medicine. At Elite, Emma is focused on safety in aesthetics, innovating the future – understanding the needs of her patients, continuously adapting to the evolving changes within the aesthetic industry.
Emma works on an independent consultancy basis and as a Key Opinion Leader with a number of aesthetic companies, she promotes safe ethical practice in aesthetic medicine, also as a clinical trainer and uses her column as a platform the raise public awareness. Emma is driven and passionate about raising the standards within aesthetic medicine and is proud to be a member of the BACN.
